Appointments

Clients are encouraged to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. Please notify us if you are running late. Failure to arrive on time without notice may result in your appointment being cancelled.

Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your booking and confirms a contract for the agreed service. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits will be applied towards your final balance on the day of service.

Cancellations

In-Studio Appointments: A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required for cancellations. Late cancellations, no-shows, or clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will forfeit their deposit and will be charged the remaining balance.

Mobile Appointments: Cancellations within 2 weeks of the booking date will result in the full balance being payable.

Refunds & Credit Notes

Refunds are not available where a client cancels the appointment. Credit notes will only be issued if the appointment cannot proceed due to circumstances outside the control of both parties (e.g., government restrictions). Change of mind, illness, travel issues, or double bookings are not eligible for refunds or credit notes.

Credit notes are valid only for the original service booked and cannot be used to pay outstanding balances. Full refunds will only apply if Maria Efthy Makeup is required to cancel the appointment.

Methods of Payment

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, EFTPOS).

• All Card transactions incur a 2% surcharge.

• We do not accept personal cheques.

• No cash out is available on card payments.

Public Holidays

A 10% surcharge automatically applies to all services performed on public holidays.

Preparation for Makeup

Clients must arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Please follow a regular skincare routine in the lead-up to your booking. For weddings, additional skincare preparation is recommended.

Please avoid Botox or dermal fillers for at least 2–3 weeks prior to your appointment/wedding.

GST & Invoicing Policy

Maria Efthy Makeup is a GST-registered business. All prices quoted for bridal and mobile bookings are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be itemised and added to the final invoice, and the total balance payable will reflect the quoted service fee plus GST.

Payment may be made via invoice, with the total inclusive of GST, or in cash on the day of service. All payments are to be made in full prior to, or on the day of, the booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. Any details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, or booking information, are collected only for the purpose of providing our services.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all applicable data protection laws. Your personal information will never be sold or disclosed to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or to trusted contractors assisting with our services. We do not store credit card details on our servers.
